if there is a reason to visit iceland in the winter then it is the light. it is incredible how soft it gets, even midday, when the sun barely reaches the horizon. it literally looks like a tongue of golden color licking over every surface, licking the icecold water, the birds, every rock and me, who walks along the coast. it transformes everything magically into something breathtaking beautiful. the shadows extend into eternity. i promise at this point that those will be the only cheesy winterpictures i post. but it was just so tempting. and i guess you had enough reading in the last post anyways…
